Global Path Connections is proud to present the Grateful Students, Proud Ambassadors initiative– a powerful movement dedicated to celebrating the remarkable journeys of international graduates from the University of Bath. Through this platform, we honour the transformative education, unwavering support, and life-changing opportunities that shape future leaders, while inspiring the next generation to dream bigger, achieve more, and give back with gratitude.
Today, we are delighted to introduce our next Proud Ambassador: Sarah Chandratreya. Sarah Chandratreya’s story is one of quiet strength, cultural elegance, warmth, and remarkable achievement. As an international student from India, she arrived in the UK and quickly became a source of kindness and support for those around her. She was the very first friend many international students encountered- offering constant moral support, a listening ear, and genuine encouragement during those early, often challenging days far from home. Her openness, thoughtful respect for different cultures, religions, and traditions, and the caring way she (and her lovely mother) always accommodated dietary needs left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

From the moment she stepped onto the University of Bath campus, Sarah embraced her MSc in Data Science with determination and curiosity. The programme stood out for its strong industry relevance and applied approach. Rather than focusing solely on theory, Sarah learned how to solve real business and societal problems using data, machine learning, and critical thinking. Her dissertation was a particularly defining experience- pushing her to work independently, think deeply, and communicate complex ideas with clarity. Earning a distinction for her dissertation gave her a significant boost in confidence and solidified her passion for data and AI.
Beyond technical growth, Bath played a crucial role in Sarah’s personal and professional development. Through presentations, group projects, and collaboration with students from diverse backgrounds, she significantly enhanced her communication, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership skills. These experiences helped bridge the gap between being a student and becoming a confident working professional in the UK.

Today, Sarah is thriving as a Pricing Optimisation Analyst at NatWest Group in London. She applies advanced skills in Python, machine learning, statistics, data analysis, and software engineering on a daily basis. What has proven most valuable, however, is the critical thinking mindset she developed at Bath- the ability to understand the business context behind the data and communicate insights clearly and strategically in a fast-paced corporate environment. The rigorous training and supportive academic community at Bath prepared her exceptionally well for the demands of her role.
As an international student, Sarah faced the common challenges of adjusting to a new country, academic system, and lifestyle while being far from family. Yet she found strength in the welcoming community at Bath. The friendships she built became like family, and the support she received helped her overcome self-doubt and build lasting confidence in her abilities. Bath genuinely started to feel like home.

For Sarah, being a Proud Ambassador carries deep meaning. She hopes her story will show other international students that it is absolutely possible to build a successful and fulfilling life abroad while staying true to one’s roots. She wants to reassure them that the transition, though not always easy, brings tremendous growth through consistency, resilience, curiosity, and openness to new opportunities. Success, she believes, is built gradually- and no one needs to have everything figured out from day one.
Sarah Chandratreya stands as a powerful role model for our diverse international community in the UK- a shining example of smooth integration, professional excellence, cultural grace, and quiet but powerful support for others. Her journey demonstrates that with the right education, support, and determination, extraordinary achievements are within reach.
We are incredibly proud and honoured to welcome Sarah Chandratreya as one of our Proud Ambassadors.
Stay tuned– the next Proud Ambassador story will be published very soon.
